It's the "Olympics of Pop," an over-the-top spectacle of talent, glam, and glitter - in a word, it's Eurovision! The beloved international song contest is organized every year by the European Broadcasting Union. Participating countries submit their song to be performed live - and voted on by the competing countries to determine a winner. It's the contest that has brought us ABBA, Celine Dion, and Bonnie Tyler.

Fans won't want to miss a minute of this nail-biter of a competition, and The German Society along with the World Affairs Council want to provide the perfect setting to experience the performances. The contest, which takes place in Malmo, Sweden this year, will be livestreamed on a big screen as stars from Europe and beyond battle it out to be crowned best crooner.

"Eurovision is amazing. It's fabulous, it's fun, it gets very competitive and edgy - it brings out the best in everybody," says Mark McGuigan, president of the German Society of Pennsylvania. "We're excited to welcome all fans and European expats living in the region to our beautiful building to watch, cheer, and share food and drinks!"

The watch party will be followed by a dance party in the German Society's fabulous retro Ratskeller. Since Sweden is the host country this year, the dance party will be ABBA inspired, with lots of glam and glitter!
